Built on a base of 100% blue agave wine rather than neutral grain spirit, the Rancho La Gloria Cocktail Series Lemon Drop delivers a 17% ABV profile that bypasses the harsh, synthetic burn typical of vodka-based canned pre-mixes. Fermented agave nectar supplies the alcohol structure, yielding a naturally smooth texture that integrates seamlessly with bright citrus extracts. By omitting heavy corn syrups in favor of agave-derived sugars, this ready-to-serve bottling maintains a vibrant, crisp balance between tart acidity and fruit sweetness.
Bright tartness hits the front palate first with notes of freshly squeezed lemon juice and candied citrus peel. A round, medium physical weight follows, driven by the subtle herbal sweetness of the agave base, resolving into a clean, mouthwatering lemon zest finish without cloying weight. In-house testing at USQ showed that serving it straight over ice is easy, but it truly shines when aerated; our team recommends pouring 3 oz of chilled Lemon Drop into a cocktail shaker with ice, shaking hard for 10 seconds, and double-straining into a sugar-rimmed martini glass garnished with a lemon wheel.
